Heather T. Shai is a Maryland native with a passion for strengthening communities through homeownership and service. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and a Master of Science in Business and Human Resources Management from American University in Washington, D.C.

With two decades of industry experience, Heather has built a distinguished career marked by leadership, integrity, and client-centered service. She has founded her own real estate consulting company and held roles including Vice President of Business Development, Top-Producing Sales Manager, and Account Manager. Having facilitated more than 8,000 real estate transactions, Heather brings a rare combination of business acumen, communication expertise, and a steadfast commitment to providing organized, efficient, and exceptional settlement experiences for every client she serves.

As a Settlement Officer, Heather’s philosophy mirrors her broader mission: to build bridges that support homeownership, cultivate strong relationships, and enhance the communities she proudly serves. Her focus has always been on people first, earning trust, exceeding expectations, and creating positive experiences that reflect her dedication to community care.

Heather remains deeply engaged in the real estate community. She has served on the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR) Board of Directors, multiple committees, and HCAR Cares. Her service and leadership have been recognized with the HCAR President’s Award and as a two-time recipient of the Alan C. Grubb Preferred Partner of the Year Award, most recently in 2025. She is also a proud graduate of the Maryland REALTORS® Leadership Academy.

Beyond her professional life, Heather is the wife of an Army Veteran and is passionate about supporting active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. She volunteers with numerous community organizations, including HCAR Cares, Neighbor Network, the Maryland Food Bank, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Bailey’s Bundles, and Honor Flights.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys running, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and their three daughters.
